     Internationally known as Alexandros Hahalis or simply as Alexandros, considered by many to be among the most important Greek artists.

                Theatrical composer, performer and poet. His work is timeless, primordial, progressive, revolutionary, epic and satirical. He studied classical composition at the Aaron Copland School in New York, where he lived and created for 21 years, 1980-2001.

                He has composed for renowned sculptors & painters (Spyropoulos, Stamos, Walderedo De Oliveira), has performed in collaboration with major organizations and festivals worldwide (La Mama Theater in New York), Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), University of Rochester, Art Carnuntum (Austria), Libertas (Croatia), Due Mondi (Italy), Topkapi (Istanbul), Olympic Flame Ceremony 2004 (Ancient Delphi Stadium), Marathon 2500 Years of Light (Marathon Tomb), Eugenideion Planetarium, Ancient Pella, University of Athens, Zappeion, etc.

                In 2014 he presented the space project PYRAEIZON (Fire Ever-living) in honor of the legendary late astronaut Neil Armstrong, the Russian cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, and participating world-renowned astronauts, scientists and artists such as Charles Duke, Walter Cunningham, Stephen Hawking, Richard Dawkins, Brian May, Rick Wakeman), at the prestigious STARMUS Astronomy & Music Festival, at the famous Grande Auditorio de Tenerife in Santa Cruz, (Canary Islands, Spain), live on National Television of Spain.

                In 2015 and 2018 he presented at Technopolis of Athens and at the Aristotle Theatre of Thessaloniki the International Conference of Sciences & Arts “ODYSSEY OF KNOWLEDGE” in honor of the philosopher HYPATIA, and MAKEDONIA respectively, with the participation of dozens of internationally renowned scientists and artists. They were broadcast online by the University of Athens.

In 2020, he presented the Teleseminar "Euripides-Thermopylae-Salamis, 2500 Years of Light / Fortunate is the one who knows history" with leading personalities from the fields of science and politics.

Last Spring (March 2021) he performed at the Apollo Theater (Patras, Greece), his work “200, on the Road to Freedom”, for the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Empire.

Selected Awards

In 1998 by the Association of Greek Professors at the University of Chicago, for his sonic approach of the Greek language and his dedication to Greek Culture.

                In 2000 by the Playwrights' Preview Society in Central Park, New York, for his contribution to the theatre, alongside Olympia Doukakis and six other prominent Greek artists.

                In 2005 at the Athens Concert Hall at the Excellence Ceremony for his international artistic recognition.

                His lifelong devotion to the inexhaustible wealth of the timeless Greek Spirit has brought him back to his native land, the "Eternal Mother of Culture" as he calls Greece, where he can draw unlimited inspiration.

                In 2002 he founded the Cultural Organization APOLLONOS NAOS (Apollo Temple) with the aim of cultivating and spreading the Timeless Greek Culture around the world.
